Starting from Dar es Salaam, you’ll travel by train to Morogoro and begin hiking through villages, farmlands, and forests, camping overnight at Morningside. Itineraries
Day 1
Dar es Salaam – Morogoro – Choma Waterfall – Morningside Camp
Morning
Depart from Dar es Salaam SGR Station to Morogoro by train.
Meet your mountain guide upon arrival.
Begin your hike to Choma Waterfall (approx. 2.5 hours).
Afternoon
Enjoy the refreshing waterfall and scenic forest surroundings.
Visit a local Uluguru family for a hot lunch or traditional meal.
Continue hiking through farmlands and lush forest trails to Morningside Camp.
Evening
Arrive at Morningside Camp and settle in.
Relax with views of Morogoro town below.
Dinner and overnight camping at Morningside
Day 2
Bondwa Peak – Return to Dar es Salaam
Morning
Early breakfast at camp.
Begin hike to Bondwa Peak (2,159m), about 5 hours round trip.
Enjoy panoramic views from the summit with packed lunch.
Afternoon
Descend back to Morningside and then continue down to Morogoro town.
Board train from Morogoro SGR Station back to Dar es Salaam.
Evening
Arrival at Dar es Salaam SGR Station.
