3 Days Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Uganda
Experience one of the most moving wildlife encounters on earth with a 3-day gorilla trekking safari in Bwindi. Nestled in southwestern Uganda, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas and seeing them in their natural habitat is nothing short of life-changing.
Each trek is led by experienced rangers who guide you through dense rainforest, pointing out native plants, birds, and animal tracks along the way. Once you find them, you’ll spend time observing these gentle giants. Watching mothers care for their young, playful juveniles tumble through the foliage, and dominant silverbacks quietly keep watch over their families.
Permits for gorilla trekking in Bwindi are limited to protect the animals, so advance booking is essential. Bwindi’s lodges range from cozy eco-lodges to luxury forest retreats, offering warm hospitality and scenic views of the forest canopy.
After your trek, you can unwind by the serene waters of Lake Bunyonyi, one of Uganda’s most beautiful lakes.
